The second volume of three, the sample vol. 2 continues the journey of my first silhouette as an independent shoe designer and opens up the discussion of trauma. This shoe is a manifestation of my own journey of coping and healing from addressing with my own mental health.

I chose the creamy colorway to represent the fog, or the haze we enter after we come out of the darkness when experiencing trauma. The long haired suede speaks to the hairy situations of navigating our emotions and feelings in that space in between the dark and the light. The cream, EVA foam midsole provides comfort for your feet, acknowledging that we can find comfort in darkness. The raw, foam edge collar speaks to vulnerability in that dark space and even the physical and/or mental abrasions we experience. A prescription label is printed on the insole, signifying that they are prescribed to use as needed or as symptoms persist. The box imagery will be some of my own photography artwork that came about when I was stuck in that in between place and trying to find myself.

My hope is that people will not only see value in the premium materials, but also in the message. When this trilogy ends, you'll want to make sure you have all three volumes for the culminating message and to see the shoe evolve. Maybe it helps others themselves grow and evolve in their own mental health journey.

Sizing. Shoes run true to size and are available in whole sizes. If you wear a half size, we recommend going down to the nearest full size.

This is a pre-order. Pre-order will run from 11-3-23 at 9:00 AM CST until 11-6-23 at 9:00 AM CST. Production will then begin and shoes will ship within 8 weeks of the end of the pre-order sale.
