Barriers | Tee - Vintage Blue

The Barriers Tee was created with Jackie Robinson Day (April 15) in mind. It's a celebration and recognition of how Black people have fought for equality and the contributions they have made as a result. The message for the imagery was formed in recognition of those who have fought, and continue to fight to enter into spaces, while being their authentic selves despite societal norms. Celebrating Jackie Robinson Day is another way to celebrate each other, how our differences enhance every facet of life, no matter who we are when we show up. 

I wanted to bring this piece current as I remember my own experiences as a college baseball player, how those experiences helped shape me, and to create a visual to continue to remove some of our stigmas. My hope is that piece generates conversation that allows others to speak about finding comfort in their own skin, owning who they are, and sharing it unapologetically.
