the sample: vol. 3

The third and final volume of three, "the sample vol. 3" closes out the trilogy and initial release of my first silhouette as an independent shoe designer. My purpose for this shoe is to open up the discussion of trauma and is a manifestation of my own journey of coping with and healing from addressing my own mental health struggles.

I chose the color blue to represent clarity when we have a breakthrough or find healing after experiencing trauma. The cream, EVA foam midsole provides comfort for your feet and is capped off with a translucent outsole. The raw edge collar has been removed to speak to open wounds healing, but there is now an unfinished edge on the tongue to represent the importance of working to remain vulnerable.

The embroidered logo on the tongue and heel counter is an image my son would draw of him and I hanging out  when he was five years old and was first in remission from brain cancer.

My hope is that people will not only see value in the premium materials, but also in the message. If you've followed this journey, you've been able to see the shoe evolve. "vol. 3" is the metamorphosis of the three volumes, becoming the new silhouette: MTCS (Metamorphosis Transformation Change In Shape).

Sizing. Shoes run true to size and are available in whole sizes. If you wear a half size, we recommend going up to the nearest full size.

This is a pre-order. Pre-order will run from 2-16-24 at 10:00 AM CST, until 2-19-24 at 10:00 AM CST. Production will then begin and shoes will ship within approximately 8 weeks of the end of the pre-order sale.
